In this video we see what causes the door open warning on a car, when it is properly closed. The most common problem is the door switch; in this vehicle it is located on this side, but sometimes it can be right on the door, so we will have to check both, and in newer vehicles it is integrated on the door latch. However, in many cases the problem could be the wiring itself, or the switch may rust. Replacing it is very simple; just remove the screw and we find the switch underneath: Just disconnect it by removing the electrical connection, being careful not to let the wire enter the bodywork (it would be very difficult to retrieve it). The new switch can be easily found on any e-commerce site, according to our car, and costs a few euros. Then, just reinsert it into the connector and put the screws back in place.
