In this video we can learn some information about the engine check light, which indicates that something is wrong with the vehicle's emission gases; this signals that there is something wrong with the injection system or the ignition system. It is a yellow light, so it warns us to drive cautiously. But the real question is if we can drive with this light on: yes, if the light is yellow; no if it is red. Furthermore, if the car is running normally without emitting strange sounds and no other lights are on, we can drive to the next workshop; otherwise, it is better to stop as soon as possible. If we have stopped in a convenient place, we should do a first inspection, checking for any oil leaks, loose cables, or visible anomalies. If there are no other lights on, a short break may cause the light to turn off by itself. In terms of mileage, we can drive long distances with the light on; in the case of the Skoda in the video, it was a loose hose that was easy to put back in place, while in another case it took over two hundred kilometers before serious problems started. However, we must remember that the engine light is not there for nothing and ignoring it is not a good policy; the best solution is to connect a tool to the EOBD port and perform a check. If there is a serious fault, the vehicle may enter recovery mode; this means that the car will go slower to protect itself and avoid further damage to the engine.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
