It might have snagged on a coat when getting in, or a slightly loose seatbelt may have pulled it, and no one noticed: these things can happen.

In such cases, the spring remains in a position that prevents the door handle from unlocking when pulled. What you need to do is take a screwdriver and push the catch towards the door while simultaneously pulling the external handle.

Now you can close it without any problems.
