How do we change the battery of the remote control key of a Volkswagen Passat? Let's see in this video how to remove the key. First of all: we press the key exit button in order to free up the key insert space. We take a screwdriver and pry the two plastic parts, so we go to separate the covers exactly in the middle. We take off as in the video and open the cover that has just been shown in two pieces. Having identified the worn battery, replace it with a new one (with the same characteristics and dimensions). We close the two covers by pressing against each other. Finally we join the two covers and close the metal key.
