To replace the water pump on the Volkswagen Golf, open the bonnet to access the components located in the engine bay: on the left side of the block, you will find the pump. It can be freed from its housing by unscrewing the screws that secure it, and you will also need to disconnect the hoses and remove the belt from its pulley: this will allow you to completely remove the old pump and insert the new one. The new pump can now be installed correctly to ensure everything functions properly.
