If the key of your Volkswagen Jetta Mk5 has stopped working due to a completely flat battery, follow these steps to replace it correctly and safely. First, pull out the emergency key from the side of the cover, then remove the cover and separate the upper part from the lower part.

At this point, open the lower part and locate the battery inside. Finally, remove the old battery and replace it with a new one. Refit the cover correctly and you are done.
