Bleeding the Diesel Injection System

Model: Volkswagen Golf MK 5, Golf 5, Golf V - Years 2003-2008

To clean the injection system, disconnect the four rubber hoses that lead from the filter to the injectors. Connect the rubber hoses in pairs to create a 'bridge' so that the fuel remains recycled in the filter during cleaning. Using silicone tubes, connect one end to the rigid pipe that connects to the injector and insert the other end into a perfectly clean container where the appropriate cleaning additive will be poured. Start the engine and check that the level of the additive in the container remains constant. Run the engine until almost all the additive is absorbed. Now that the injectors are clean, refit the filter hoses.
