To replace the boot lock of the Volkswagen Jetta, open the boot to detach the interior trim completely. Once the trim is removed, you will be able to locate the screws that secure the lock to its housing.

By loosening these screws, you can slide the lock out of its housing, disconnecting the connectors inside; the new lock can then be inserted into its place, secured with the appropriate screws and connected to the connector to ensure everything functions correctly.
