In the Volkswagen Jetta, the boot may get stuck, possibly due to a problem with the control button or the lock actuator. In this case, you can still perform an emergency opening by following the simple procedure shown in this tutorial.

First, open the rear doors, then lower the backrest of the seat by operating the indicated lever. Next, go into the boot, locate the lock mechanism, and operate it manually.

The boot will then be free to open and can be repaired if necessary.
