Today, we will go through the main steps for removing and replacing the timing belt on the Volkswagen Tiguan 2.0 TDI. First, open the bonnet and begin removing the upper plastic cover and the engine mount. Also, remove the coolant reservoir as shown in the video.

At this point, lift the vehicle and remove the front right wheel, also taking off the wheel arch liner. Remove the V-belt and the crankshaft pulley to subsequently access the timing cover.

Now proceed with the removal and replacement of the timing belt, installing the original one!
