To activate the head-up display on Volkswagen vehicles, turn on the instrument cluster by inserting the ignition key into the appropriate slot. Once the cluster is powered on, select the "Vehicle" option on the display in the centre of the dashboard.

Then select "Interior" and subsequently "Head-up display": next to the "Active" option, there will be a slider that can be selected to activate or deactivate the head-up display. Once this device is activated, all driving data will be projected onto the windscreen in front of the driver.
