Removing the Steering Knuckle on a Volkswagen Golf 5

Let’s see how to remove the steering knuckle on a Volkswagen Golf 5 Series. Position your car on a column lift, raising it to a comfortable height to work. Undo the wheel bolts with a telescopic spanner or air drill and remove the wheel, then begin to undo the bolts of the steering knuckle with a socket spanner. Undo the bolts located under the knuckle and the stabiliser bar, then pull the knuckle away from the vehicle body with your hands. Install the new steering knuckle and tighten it with all the associated bolts. Finally, mount the wheel with the bolts and test the correct operation.
