How to change the front headlight of a Volkswagen Golf

Replacing the front headlight of a Volkswagen Golf 7 requires more steps than simply replacing a bulb because the headlight, as we can see in the selected video, is attached to the bodywork. Start by opening the hood and then proceed to remove the front bumper. To do this, you will need to unscrew the Torx screws located under the bumper, in the wheel arches, and at the top near the grille; gently unclip the plastic clips and pull the bumper forward to remove it. At this point, locate the screws that secure the headlight to the bodywork and unscrew them, then proceed to disconnect the electrical connector located on the back of the headlight and finally remove the headlight from its housing. To install the new headlight, connect the electrical connector and position the headlight in its housing before securing it with the appropriate screws.
