In this guide we will see the instructions that will allow us to disassemble and replace the automatic gear knob of the Volkswagen Golf. First of all, we get on board the car and start by disconnecting and removing the cover of the gear lever boot, which we find at the base; then we pull the boot upwards and detach the clamp that we find between the boot and the knob, as shown in the video. At this point we pull the knob forcefully to detach it and remove it, replacing it with the new one; we reassemble the knob and secure the boot with a new clamp, finally reassembling the cover located at the base.
