How to Remove the Front Headlight on a Volkswagen Golf 4

Here’s how to remove the front headlight on a Volkswagen Golf 4: pull the plastic lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard, then lift the bonnet and secure it. Get a socket wrench, remove the upper part of the bumper cover, then unscrew the screws around the splash guard and those located at the bottom of the bumper. Detach the bumper from the vehicle body with your hands and remove the headlight after unscrewing the securing bolts. Disconnect the terminals and replace the worn bulbs. For reassembly, proceed in reverse order. Finally, test the correct operation of the lights.
