In the following article, we will illustrate the procedure for removing the radio from the Volkswagen Golf 5, a procedure that is useful for replacing the radio in case of malfunction or to make the car more modern. For this operation, we will need a crosshead screwdriver. To remove the radio, first remove the support cover of the upper part of the central console, then remove the 2 fixing screws, then remove the upper part by pulling it outwards. Once removed, you will have full access to the radio. Now, remove the 4 fixing screws of the radio, and it will be possible to remove it by disconnecting the connectors.
