How do you replace the door lock of the Volkswagen Passat?

In order to replace the door lock of the Volkswagen Passat, you need to loosen the screws that secure the panel to its housing: the screws that secure the panel can be loosened and can be found in the central lower part of the door, in the seat of the inner handle and under the window lift switch panel.

Once the panel has been freed, you can disconnect the underlying connectors: now you will have access to the lock actuator, which in turn must be freed from screws and connectors by replacing it with a new one.
