How to replace the air filter of the Volkswagen Tiguan

Model: Volkswagen Tiguan 5N, MK 1 - Years 2007-2016

We turn off the car, pull the handbrake, and pull the hood release lever to perform the replacement of the air filter of the Volkswagen Tiguan. Using a socket wrench with a Torx insert size 25, we unscrew the fastening screws of the air filter flange. We lift the flange cover and remove the filter. We clean the box from any impurities left in the filter compartment and compare the old filter with the new one to make sure they are identical. We insert the new air filter into the box, making sure the rubber edge does not exceed the plastic. We put the cover back on and screw the 8 fastening screws of the flange; once the operation is completed, we close the front hood.
