How to perform maintenance on a Volkswagen New Beetle? This video explains how to replace the battery: open the car door and pull up the engine bay release lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard, then lift the front bonnet; disengage the locking lever, then secure it. Once the engine bay is open, you will find the battery on the right; remove the securing bolts of the battery terminals, then take the battery out of the engine bay and replace it with a new one (same voltage). Close the engine bonnet after maintenance.
