Removing the Front Door Panel

Model: Volkswagen Passat 3BG, B5 - Years 1996-2005
Part: Door trim panel

Using a small flathead screwdriver, unclip the internal handle cover: then unscrew the two screws located at each end of the handle and the two on the lower edge of the panel. Using a plastic lever, unclip the pressure clips along the edges of the panel and pull it upwards to detach it from the window seal; move it away from the door and disconnect the opening cable from the lever, the connector for the window switch, and the courtesy light connector: you can now remove the panel. Reposition the seal around the speaker and proceed in reverse order to reassemble.
