How do you remove the side mirrors from the Volkswagen Golf 8?

The exterior rearview mirrors of the latest generation Volkswagen Golf 8 have a disassembly procedure that is not very different from other previously produced versions of the Volkswagen Golf and other cars in general. You start by removing the internal door handle by taking out the fastening screw, then proceed with the screw of the handle and the one at the bottom, under the storage compartment. Once the panel is pulled away from the door, you can unscrew the two fastening screws of the aforementioned mirror, remembering to disconnect the plug of the electric cable that powers it, thus completing the job.
