To disable road sign recognition on the Volkswagen Golf, insert the ignition key into the ignition switch and turn on the instrument panel: once the panel is on, press the CAR button on the right side of the central screen and then select the "Setup" option.

A screen will open where you need to choose "Driver Assistance": at this point, scroll down to remove the tick from the "Road Sign Recognition" option.

This way, you will notice that the setting will be disabled.
