In winter, you may see the #ACC error message from the Front Assist sensor on your Volkswagen Golf VII. The most common cause is ice, snow, or simply mud, which obstructs the radar's visibility or is directly in front of the sensor. This sensor is not related to the windscreen sensor (road sign recognition), but it is good practice to keep it clean as they work together for better road recognition. The front radar of the Golf MK7 is located in the front grille, behind the manufacturer's logo.
