How to Reset the Service Light on a Volkswagen Polo?

Model: Volkswagen Polo MK IV, Polo IV, Polo 4, MK 4, 9N - Years 2001-2009

To reset the Service light on a Volkswagen Polo, get in the vehicle and ensure the instrument cluster is off. Press and hold the trip odometer button located on the instrument cluster. While holding it down, insert the key and turn on the cluster without starting the engine. After a few seconds, a reset request for the maintenance interval will appear on the display. At this point, release the button and turn the clock or reset knob located next to the instrument cluster to the right. The display will confirm the maintenance reset. Finally, switch off the cluster and turn it back on to check that the Service light has been correctly cleared.
