How to Reset the Service Light in a Volkswagen Atlas

To reset the service light in a Volkswagen Atlas, turn on the instrument cluster without starting the engine and use the buttons on the steering wheel to navigate through the display screens. Bring the instrument cluster to the remaining range screen and hold the OK button for a few seconds until the maintenance menu opens. Use the steering wheel directional controls to select the oil change or maintenance interval option. Confirm your selection by pressing OK again and wait for the system to complete the operation. A confirmation message will appear indicating that the service interval has been reset. Finally, turn off the instrument cluster and turn it back on to verify that the maintenance warning has been cleared.
