How to Reset the DSG Gearbox on a Volkswagen Tiguan

You can reset the DSG automatic gearbox on a Volkswagen Tiguan by placing the gear selector in position P and then engaging the handbrake; from this position, press the accelerator pedal for about forty seconds. At this point, activate the instrument cluster and wait a few more seconds; then turn off the ignition and keep the pedal pressed for about ten seconds. Releasing the pedal, close the car and then reopen it with the remote: this way, you can verify that the gearbox settings have been restored.
