How do you replace the number plate lights of a Volkswagen Golf 5? This video shows how to replace the damaged bulbs. Use a screwdriver or lever to remove the plastic light unit located inside the rear tailgate of the car. Once the light unit is removed, pull the bulb holder from its housing, then remove the bulb from it. Install the new bulb (same size and voltage) into the bulb holder, then reassemble the light unit into the tailgate. Finally, test the correct operation of the newly installed bulb.
