How to Replace the Remote Battery in a Volkswagen Passat?

You can replace the remote battery in a Volkswagen Passat by sliding the key out of its housing, allowing you to lever inside its compartment: this will enable you to detach the panel on the back of the remote. The underlying battery can be removed from its housing to insert the new one: this can now be installed and covered with the back panel. By inserting the key back into its corresponding housing, you can verify that everything is functioning correctly.
