To replace the tailgate lock on the Volkswagen Tiguan, open the tailgate and loosen the screws securing the internal trim. These screws are located at the base of the trim, and once removed, you can detach it. Next, locate the screws that secure the lock to its housing from the inside. At this point, disconnect the connectors attached to it and connect a new one. Finally, cover everything with the panel and check its operation.
