The replacement of the rear tailgate lock on the Volkswagen Tiguan is done by loosening the screws that secure the interior trim panel located inside the tailgate: once the panel has been removed from its housing, the screws securing the tailgate lock actuator from the inside can be identified. This can then be completely removed by unscrewing the screws that secure it and disconnecting the power cables. Now it will be possible to insert the new replacement part, so that it is properly secured and connected to its cables.
