How to remove the tailgate lock on a Volkswagen Tiguan? Let's see how to do it best: open and lift the tailgate of your car, using a screwdriver or battery-powered screwdriver: unscrew the securing screws located near the plastic panel (as shown in the video). Remove the faulty lock from the tailgate of the boot (use a plastic or metal lever for assistance), disconnect the power connectors (which supply power to the lock). Install a new lock and proceed in the same way for reassembly along with the parts.
