The cause is the narrow channels of the cabin radiator, which become blocked due to sediment (degradation of the pipes) or dirt circulating in the heating system. The workshop emphasises that simply changing the radiator is not enough: a systematic intervention is necessary to prevent the problem from recurring soon. This involves diagnosing and replacing components, which is not feasible for a hobbyist, but is advisable at a highly specialised workshop, requiring several days to dismantle, identify the required parts, clean everything, and reassemble. It is also a highly invasive job, as it requires dismantling much of the front end to access all the pipes, and demands great professionalism and care to avoid damaging numerous components. However, it is the only viable way to resolve the problem at its root.
