Detailed instructions - You probably know that after performing a DIY service on your Volkswagen Passat MK8, you will need to reset the service light. You can do this without using the OBD port and workshop equipment; just follow the instructions in this video. Look in the bottom right corner of the dashboard for a small button: this allows you to access the settings menu, and you need to hold it down while turning the key to switch on the instrument panel. Now, from the menu you just opened, select the 'oil life reset' option and confirm by pressing the OK button on the steering wheel.
