Removing the Door Panel of a VW Golf 7

How to remove the door panel of a Volkswagen Golf Mk7? Before starting the disassembly, disconnect the battery terminals located in the engine bay. Use a trim tool to pry at the bottom of the handle on the door panel, then remove the cover piece (as shown in the video) and unscrew the door fastening screws. Use a plastic trim tool to release all the clips around the perimeter of the door. Finally, pull away the panel by gripping it with your hands, disconnect the release lever cable, the window regulator connectors, and the speaker connectors. Remove the window switch from the door panel.
