Removing the Door Panel of a Volkswagen Golf

Remove the door panel of a Volkswagen Golf (driver's side). Before starting the disassembly, disconnect the battery terminals located in the engine bay (if you need to disconnect terminals). Use a lever to remove the handle cover; unscrew the screws located in the handle with a screwdriver. Unscrew the remaining screws on the door panel and detach the retaining clips. Disconnect the window regulator power connectors. Finally, take the panel and, using leverage, unclip it from the door. Refit everything.
