Replacing the Key Battery on VW Touareg

Is the remote key for your Volkswagen Touareg not working anymore? Here’s how to change the battery. Take your remote key, press the button with the VW logo, and use a screwdriver to press on the locking clips of the side cover. Pry it open until the cover comes off. Remove the plastic battery holder and take out the worn battery with a screwdriver; get a new one of the same size and voltage. Refit the battery holder into your remote by pressing the key cover until you hear it click into place. Reattach the side plastics of the key. Check if it works.
