Key Battery Replacement on Volkswagen Touareg

Model: Volkswagen Touareg MK 3, CR - Years 2018-2026

Press the button on the remote to open the grey latch, allowing you to pull it out (while holding the button) and extract the emergency key (to use when the battery is flat and you need to access the vehicle). At this point, you will have access to the clip that you can push with a small flat screwdriver, removing the side cover as shown in the video. Using the small screwdriver, lever in the slot for the battery compartment, extracting it to replace the battery (a CR 2032). Proceed in reverse for reassembly.
