Replacing the Water Pump on Volkswagen 1.6

In this video tutorial, we will see the main steps to dismantle the timing kit with the water pump on Volkswagen 1.6 petrol engines. Open the bonnet and remove the cover; then remove the wheel and take off the wheel arch liner to access the belt and the water pump. Turn the tensioner with a spanner to loosen it and remove the poly-v belt. Unscrew the tensioner bolts and then remove the timing belt. Remove the water pump hose, allowing all the fluid to drain into a container, and then unscrew the three bolts of the pump to extract it!
