Some engines in the group do have a belt in an oil bath, but it's the oil pump belt, not the transmission belt, which is dry. There are engines that have a transmission in an oil bath, such as the EA211 or EA288 evo engine codes, but they use a metal chain, and they also have a belt in an oil bath, like the others, for the oil pump. There is a lot of confusion about this, even among mechanics, as the YouTuber points out. Additionally, these vehicles—like many other modern cars—have a polymer oil pan (and cap).
