How to Time an Audi/Volkswagen/Seat Engine

This video describes how to time an Audi/Volkswagen/Seat engine as long as it has the injector pump inside the rocker cover, as they are all made in the same way, regardless of engine size and horsepower. Before removing the belt, loosen the three bolts so that you can tension the belt when reassembling. The point to look at for timing is not the central one but the one on the left of the tensioner. The other two are blind, while the left one, which is drilled, is marked with the Volkswagen emblem. On the lower tensioner, the central hole, which is to the right of the "Germany EHT" label, must align with the hole visible in the video at the back. When you are sure everything is aligned, tighten the bolts and start the engine.
