How do you replace the water pump of the Volkswagen 1.4 TSi engine?

In order to replace the water pump of the Volkswagen 1.4 TSi engine, you need to access the side of the engine where the timing belt is located: it will be possible to loosen the pulley of the water pump, removing it along with the timing belt. Once the water pump is accessible, you will need to loosen the screws that secure it to its housing in order to insert the new one: this can be properly fixed so that the pulley can be reinserted and the timing belt repositioned.
