Today, we will see in this video tutorial how to remove the front door lock on a fifth-generation Volkswagen Golf. First, open the front door and unscrew the side fixing screws to unlock the lock; then, using a very thin tool from the outside, pry out the lock cylinder and, if desired, the handle, as shown in the video. Unscrew all external screws to remove the outer door panel and access the lock module; then, simply disassemble the mechanism by unscrewing the fixing screws and disconnecting the electrical connector!
