Side glass gasket replacement

Model: Volkswagen Maggiolino MK 1 - Years 1938-1980
Part: Side window

The first operation to carry out is to remove the door panel: unhook the window opening handle cover and the internal cover from the opening handle; therefore unscrew the screws below and unhook the panel by pulling it upwards. At this point, unscrew the fixing screws of the window sliding shoe, make it go down and extract it after releasing the support bracket. Then release the scraper gaskets and remove the gasket contained inside the door pillar. Unhook the fixing clips of the chrome frame and remove the deflector (there is a fixing screw and then just pull it backwards). Then remove the chrome frame by pressing it inwards to release it. Proceed backwards to install the new kit by first inserting the chromed frame, installing the deflector, then the gaskets and finally the glass and the panel.

How to deactivate the safe lock on a Volkswagen Golf.

The safe lock is indeed an anti-theft system that prevents thieves from accessing the car. This device locks the doors, both externally and internally, when the driver activates the central locking remote control after leaving the vehicle. To permanently disable it, it is necessary to use a diagnostic program such as VCDS that we will connect to the vehicle through the ODBII port. Then wait for the connection and recognition of the control unit and then select the blocks present and locate the safe lock to disable it. And the job will be completed.
