Volkswagen Golf - Video tutorial
Model: Volkswagen Golf
Golf IV, MK 4, Golf 4
- Years 1997-2003 To remove the mudguard on Volkswagen Golf you have to start by unscrewing the 11 bolts present in the wheel arch with a torx t25 wrench (it is advisable to rotate the steering wheel to have more work space). Removed the wheel arch protection, give the area a good clean and unscrew the three 10mm bolts with a socket wrench. Partially disassemble the front bumper, unscrewing the bolts above and below: it is enough to be able to move that part located near the fender concerned. Now unscrew the three bolts that secure the plastic bracket above the mudguard, then remove it and unscrew the two bolts that are now exposed. Open the hood and unscrew the four bolts securing the fender from above. Proceed backwards for assembly.
