Resetting Service on a Volkswagen Polo

Model: Volkswagen Polo Polo 5, Polo V, MK 5, MK V, 6R - Years 2009-2017

Using the appropriate key, turn on the instrument cluster but not the engine (this is not necessary at first). Below the cluster, you will notice a single central button: press and hold it. Only now, while holding the button, can you start the engine. The cluster will ask if you want to reset the service: press the button once more, and you're done. Remember not to use this system as a substitute for the regular service, but to reset the service light only after performing regular maintenance, as the lack of a regular service can lead to serious damage to the vehicle.
