How do you dismantle the rear seat of a Volkswagen Golf 4? Let's see how to remove the seat base and backrest. Remove the covering plastics above the lower guides of the seat base.

Dismantle the seat base (remove the seat by hand) until it is completely detached from the metal frame (unscrew the securing screws). Remove the metal guides at both ends of the backrest (unscrew the securing screws), using plastic or metal levers for assistance.

Detach one part of the seat from the car's metal frame (perform the same operation on the other half of the backrest). Install the new rear seats once the old ones are removed.
