Removing the Radio from a VW Passat

Want to replace the radio in your VW Passat? Here’s how to remove the radio and the associated mounting parts. Remove the plastic trim of the radio by prying it off (disconnect the cable). Unscrew the securing screws located at the sides of the radio perimeter with a screwdriver. Finally, extract the radio from its housing, being careful not to damage the wiring. Reassemble the parts in reverse order. First, connect the various electrical terminals and antenna cable, then screw in the securing screws. Test the radio in all its functions before securing it in the dashboard.
