This guide shows how to open the glove compartment on the Volkswagen Polo. If the lock handle of the glove compartment breaks, there is a very simple way to unlock it; in fact, only after opening the glove compartment can you remove the cover to replace it. The first step is to remove the plastic clip from the lock. At this point, the inside of the lock is visible; at the bottom of the visible slot is the locking mechanism. To remove the constraint and open the glove compartment, use a small flat screwdriver or a small plastic lever. By forcing the locking piece, you can release it from the closure recess and open the compartment.
