How to replace the water pump on the Volkswagen Golf 1.4 TSI?

To replace the water pump on the Volkswagen Golf 1.4 TSI, open the bonnet to access the engine bay. Next, remove the upper engine cover and some hoses and obstructing parts to access the side of the engine where the pump is located. To extract it, you will need to remove the front right wheel and the cover of the corresponding wheel arch. By removing the securing bolts, the pump can be taken out of its housing and replaced with a new spare part. After replacement, reinstall all previously removed components.
