How to Remove the Plastic Cover Under the Steering Wheel of the Volkswagen Golf 5?

To remove the plastic cover under the steering wheel of the Volkswagen Golf 5, you must first remove the airbag located on the steering wheel by loosening the two bolts at the back. Once the airbag is removed, loosen the nut that secures the central steering column shaft and remove it as well. Once the steering wheel is removed, you can slide off the lower cover of the steering column by disengaging its retaining clips. This will allow you to loosen the screws that secure the indicator stalk or the ignition switch.
